Interior Garage Wall Colors
A well-painted garage can encourage you to keep it neat, tidy and clean. The variety of painting options for your garage is as wide as it is for any room in your home. Choose a color and style that fit with the décor of your garage but are practical. Garages often receive very little natural light, so light paint colors will help you make use of the existing light and enhance your incandescent or fluorescent lighting. White looks clean and bright, but may show dirt too easily for your tastes, particularly in a garage workshop where sawdust or welding fumes are created. Try using a lighter shade of your exterior paint color or the nearest interior room’s paint color for a cohesive feel. Light tan tones hide dirt well, while light blues create an open feel. If your car is the primary feature inside your garage, choose a lighter shade of your car’s paint color or a lighter shade of the car’s interior color if the car itself is white.
